Odense Bulldogs har den til kommende sæson underskrevet en kontrakt med svenske Erik Nyström. Nyström er 26 år og har det meste af sin karriere været på den svenske is, hvor han de seneste sæsoner har spillet i den næstbedste svenske række, HockeyAllsvenskan. Nyström har samlet lavet 131 point i 258 kampe i HockeyAllsvenskan.

Marc Lefebvre ser frem til ankomsten af Nyström og det han kan bringe til holdet:
“Erik Nyström is a skilled and experienced forward that will make us more dangerous up front offensively. We wanted to add an offensive minded player that will support the type of hockey we want to play this season and Erik brings that to the table. He has valuable experience in some top leagues and he is still a young player and we look forward to having him in a Bulldogs shirt.”

Nyström selv ser frem til sæsonstarten og forventer en stærk sæson hos Odense Bulldogs:
"My expectations for the season is that we should be a top team in the league and thats what I want to strive for. When I chose to come to Odense it was because of the opportunity to advance further in my career. I think we all know it's going to be a special season and I feel like it's going to be important to be ready from the start - maybe even more so than years before. I hope to contribute to the team with my speed and offensive skills."
