Odense Bulldogs forstærker back-positionen til den kommende sæson med tilgangen af canadiske Cody Donaghey. Donaghey er 24 år og skifter i den kommende sæson Orlando Solar Bears ud til fordel for Odense Bulldogs.

”Becoming a part of Bulldogs is a new start for me and I’m looking forward to getting there and becoming a part of the European culture. I’ve heard good things about the city and the team. I know some of the players and coaches there already, so it’s always nice to see a familiar face when joining a new team. I have high expectations for myself and want to have a great year.” Fortæller Donaghey.

Marc Lefebvre kender Donaghey fra sin tid som assisterende træner i Orlando Solar Bears og udtaler følgende om den nytilkomne back:
”Cody is a dynamic offensive defenceman who will provide a much needed contribution from our blue line. He is also a very good skater which allows him to lead and join the attack. He is physical in his own zone and solid defensively. I had the pleasure of coaching Cody before in Orlando when he had the fourth most goals for defencemen in the ECHL and we know he will have a similar contribution to the Bulldogs this season.”

Donaghey har underskrevet en 1-årig kontrakt med Odense Bulldogs og er personlig sponsoreret af H.H. Gulvafhøvling.
